Life is good when you are fishing.
Fishing is something that I just love to do. It is relaxing, it is always a joy to be outside enjoying life, and hey Jesus chose to hang out with fishermen.
A good catch is always exciting. Especially a big King.
Instilling the love of the outdoors into your children is important too!
Here is the latest from the first time Salmon fishing with my son. We caught nine Chinooks (King) Salmon on beautiful Lake Michigan.

The first catch of the day. That is a 13lb smile!
Father and Son after a glorious evening of fishing. He pulled in his all by himself!
I am hoping that Father Z will run a Salmon recipe on his blog.
If he lived closer I certainly would provide the fish for him.

wow! I didn't know there were fish that big!
These are average size. There are certainly bigger Salmon. The lake contains Coho Salmon, Lake Trout, Steelhead, Brown trout, rainbow, perch, whitefish just to name a few.
Some of the best fishing is when the Salmon and trout begin there runs up the different rivers and creeks of Michigan.
These pictures are so awesome!! :) I've got some of that salmon in my freezer right now!
